About Custom Cycle Coaching

Custom Cycle Coaching

Craig Oliver started Custom Cycle Coaching in 2019 with a passion to see cycling grow and a desire to help cyclists enjoy their riding and experiences, developing not just their bike skills but themselves through cycling as a sport.

Craig brings over 8 years coaching experience and 15 years of national and international racing experience across XCO, XCM, road, enduro, and cyclocross. Having competed at a high level across multiple disciplines, he understands the technical, tactical, and physiological demands required to perform on race day. His background allows him to guide athletes not only in building fitness, but also in developing race intelligence, skills, and confidence across varied terrain and competition formats.

Having always worked alongside his racing career, Craig understands firsthand the challenges of managing performance goals while juggling career, family, school, university, and everyday responsibilities. This experience shapes his coaching philosophy — tailoring each athlete's program to fit realistically around their lifestyle, ensuring sustainable progression without burnout.

Craig combines real-world race experience with structured, data-driven training methods to help cyclists maximize their potential. His approach focuses on long-term development, smart progression, and building resilient athletes who are prepared for the demands of competition and everyday life — while maintaining balance off the bike.

Whether working with developing riders or high-performance competitors, Craig is committed to delivering personalized coaching that aligns with each athlete's goals, racing calendar, and pathway progression.
